My Employee Rights (myemployeerightsca.com)
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Last updated: October 1, 2026

Who we are

My Employee Rights ("we," "us," "our") is a brand of Broadside Co. ("Broadside"), a for-profit advertising company based in San Diego, California (trybroadside.com). Broadside operates this website.

This website is a paid advertisement for Lawyers for Employee and Consumer Rights APC (the "Firm"), 3500 West Olive Avenue, Third Floor, Burbank, CA 91505. The responsible attorney is Robert Ebert Byrnes, State Bar of California No. 200761. Preferred Legal Support LLC ("PLS"), the Firm's advertising and intake administrator, manages the advertising campaign. We collect the information on this site for PLS and the Firm, so that your inquiry can reach the Firm.

My Employee Rights is not a government agency, nonprofit, legal-aid organization, law firm, or lawyer referral service. We don't give legal advice or evaluate claims. Using this site or submitting the form doesn't create an attorney–client relationship with the Firm or anyone else. That relationship begins only if the Firm agrees to represent you, which is normally confirmed in a written agreement. Legal claims have deadlines, and submitting the form doesn't stop a deadline from running. No result is guaranteed.

This policy explains what information we collect on this site, how we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the privacy rights of California residents.

Information we collect

Information you give us on the form

  • Your answers to the screening questions: the type of workplace issue; your employment situation; when it happened; how you were paid; the type of employer (one choice is "Union job," so your answer can show whether you were a union member); whether you already have a lawyer; whether you were offered or signed a severance agreement; whether you worked in California; and whether you are 18 or older.
  • Optional: your ZIP code, your employer's name and address, and a short summary of your situation.
  • Your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Your consent to be contacted (the checkbox and the consent text shown next to it).

The case summary is optional. Share only what you're comfortable sharing. Please don't include medical details, Social Security numbers, or financial account numbers. The Firm can ask for more detail if it follows up with you.

Information collected automatically

  • Your IP address, and an approximate location (city, region, ZIP code) estimated from it.
  • The date and time of your visit and submission, your browser's time zone, and basic browser and device information.
  • The web address of this page and the ad details in it, such as UTM tags, campaign, ad set, and ad IDs, and the Facebook click ID (fbclid).
  • A TrustedForm consent certificate. TrustedForm, a service of ActiveProspect, records how the form page looked and your interactions with it, so there is a record of the consent you gave.
  • Cookies set by LanderLab, the platform that hosts this page and processes the form (see "Cookies" below).

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

  • send your inquiry to the Firm, through PLS, so the Firm can contact you about your potential employment matter;
  • check that a submission is real, complete, not a duplicate, and fits the screening criteria for this campaign;
  • keep a record of your consent and of the ad and page you came from;
  • resolve questions with PLS about whether a submission was delivered correctly;
  • keep the advertising and consent records that the law and our agreement with PLS require; and
  • respond to your privacy requests and comply with the law.

Your inquiry goes to one law firm only: the Firm. We don't share it with any other law firm, we don't use it to market other products or services to you, we don't use it to build advertising audiences, and we don't use it to train artificial-intelligence systems.

Calls, text messages, and email

When you check the consent box and submit the form, you agree to the consent text shown on the form. In short, it lets the Firm and PLS, acting on the Firm's behalf, contact you about your potential employment matter at the phone number and email address you give. They may use calls and text messages, including automated dialing technology, artificial or prerecorded voice, and AI-generated voice, even if your number is on a state or federal Do-Not-Call list. Your consent is not a condition of hiring a lawyer or buying anything; you can call the Firm's intake line directly at (323) 375-5101 instead. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. If this summary and the consent text on the form differ, the consent text on the form controls.

To opt out: reply STOP to any text, tell the caller, or call the Firm's intake line at (323) 375-5101. Reply HELP for help. You can also email us at [email protected], and we will pass your request to PLS and the Firm promptly. Broadside itself doesn't call, text, or email the people who use this form.

Who receives your information

  • The Firm and PLS. We send them your inquiry because you ask us to. They use it to review your inquiry and contact you. Their handling of it is covered by their own privacy practices. See the Firm's privacy policy: https://www.lawyersforemployeeandconsumerrights.com/privacy-policy.
  • Our service providers. They process information for us under written agreements that limit their use to providing the service:
    • LanderLab: hosts this page and processes form submissions.
    • TrustedForm (ActiveProspect): certifies and records your consent.
    • GoHighLevel: the customer relationship management (CRM) system where we keep delivery records.
  • Others when the law requires it. For example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or regulator's request.

No sale or sharing of personal information

We don't sell personal information. We don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). In the past 12 months we have not sold or shared the personal information of any consumer, including anyone under 16. Sending your inquiry to the Firm, at your direction, is not a sale. We don't give personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

This site doesn't use the Meta (Facebook) pixel, the Meta Conversions API, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or any other advertising or cross-site tracking tools.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the form may not work properly if you do.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don't collect information about your online activities over time and across other websites, so we don't change what we do when your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. Other than the service providers listed above, which collect information on this page only to provide their services to us, we don't allow other parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites through this site. Because we don't sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of today. If that ever changes, we will treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out.

Your California privacy rights

What we collected in the past 12 months. We have collected the following categories of personal information, as the CCPA defines them:

  • Identifiers: name, phone number, email address, IP address, lead ID, and cookie IDs.
  • Personal information in customer records (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.80(e)): name, phone number, and employment information.
  • Characteristics of protected classifications, only if your summary reveals them (for example, age, disability, or pregnancy).
  • Internet or other electronic network activity: ad parameters, cookies, time zone, browser information, and the TrustedForm session record.
  • Approximate geolocation: ZIP code and the location estimated from your IP address. We don't collect precise geolocation.
  • Professional or employment-related information: your employer, pay type, and screening answers.
  • Sensitive personal information: union membership, if your employer-type answer reveals it, and any health or other sensitive details you choose to include in your summary. We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes listed above, and not to infer characteristics about you.

Sources: you; your browser and device; and our service providers (LanderLab and TrustedForm).

Why we collect it: for the purposes listed in "How we use your information."

Who we disclose it to: for business purposes, we disclose every category above to the Firm and PLS (at your direction) and to our service providers. We have not sold or shared any category.

Your rights. If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories, sources, purposes, and recipients, and the specific pieces of information, in a portable format.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, consent records we must keep).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We don't sell or share it.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We already use it only to handle your inquiry, but you may contact us with any concerns.
  • Not be discriminated or retaliated against for using any of these rights.

How to make a request. Email [email protected] or call (858) 299-0753. If your request is about information the Firm or PLS holds, we will pass it to them and tell you that we did. You can also contact the Firm directly using the details in its privacy policy: https://www.lawyersforemployeeandconsumerrights.com/privacy-policy.

Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before we act on a request to know, access, delete, or correct. We will usually do this by asking you to confirm details you submitted, such as your name, email address, and phone number. We use the information you give us for verification only to verify your request.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will ask the agent for proof of your signed written permission, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly with us, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.

Timing. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you within those 45 days, and we may take up to 45 more days, as the law allows.

Accessibility. If you need this policy in another format, contact us using the details below.

Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and the form asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least once every 12 months. When we change it, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. If we make a material change, we will also post a notice on the landing page. We won't use information we already have in a materially different way without telling you first.
